International day of people with disabilities

3rd December is the International day of people with disabilities.

The official UN page has reports, strategies and resolutions.

According to WHO, over a billion worldwide live with some kind of disability. In 2011 they published with the World Bank the first ever World Disability report.
There are more recent country surveys and data available from the website 

For the UK the ONS has data on the impact of Covid on disabled people plus data on life chances, health , housing and education.

Disability Rights UK is one NGO which researches the contribution people with disabilities make to economic and social life in the UK, and the barriers they face.

Also of interest may be this new online exhibition curated by the LSE library which is based on archive collections. 
It tells the story of MP Alf Morris, who campaigned for equal rights legislation throughout his career, including the Disability Discrimination Act which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2020. It incudes an audio guide, images of primary source documents and video content.
