A UN online Tool to monitor the negative impact of sanctions imposed on a country on human rights i that country.
The UN Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures and human rights, Alena Douhan, has launched a tool for monitoring and assessing the humanitarian impact of unilateral coercive measures. Users can look at the map of sanctioning states, countries under sanctions, those affected by secondary sanctions, and non-affected states. They can then explore visualized data and tabular data for every country.
These consider if unilateral sanctions impact on such factors as socioeconomic life of populations, rights of children and women, healthcare and access to education among other factors.
