The Paths to Equal

The Paths to Equal – new twin indeces on women’s empowerment and gender equality based on data for 114 countries, including data on the progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals jointly developed by UNDP and UN Women.

It aims to use multi-dimensional indices to provide a comprehensive assessment of women’s status globally. The first, the Women’s Empowerment Index, focuses on measuring women’s power and freedoms to make choices. It also measures negative factors like violence.
The second, the Global Gender Parity Index, offers an assessment of the gender gap across four dimensions of human development: health, education, inclusion, and decision-making.
