Over 240 rare medieval and early modern manuscripts are now available from the early manuscripts website. A treasure is the ‘Borthwick Girdle Book‘ a 15th-century astronomical and medical almanac that could be placed on a belt when folded up so was very portable .
There are also, stunning examples of illuminations.
