This year equal pay day was 10th November This highlights the gender gap in wages as it is calculated by researchers to represent the last day in which women earn the same as men. From this date onwards women effectively stop earning while men carry on until the end of the year. For more information on the gender economic inequality and other areas of power, the World Economic Forum has just released the 2016 Global Gender Gap report. It has recorded a slow down in the progress to equality and calculates 120 years to achieve complete parity. The ILO also records data and reports on unequal gender access to the labour market
