Another useful source on this topic is the Active Ageing Index (AAI) from the European Commission and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). The index measures the extent to which older people can realise their full potential in terms of total and healthy life expectancy, participation in the economy, in social and cultural life and in terms of independent living in specific nations.
