Survey of LGBT Americans- attitudes experiences and values
Latest data from Pew research. Findings include more acceptance, however at the same time discrimination continues. This week the US government housing agency HUD released its first survey on housing discrimination against same-sex couples in metropolitan rental markets via advertisements on the Internet.
Also useful on this, a recent Pew study from the research centre on the People and the Press covers American attitudes towards gay marriage. See also their Global Attitudes survey on worldwide acceptance of homosexuality in different countries which is quite shocking in terms of the attitudes expressed towards gay people by the public in some regions of the world.
For the UK, British social attitudes surveys regularly ask questions on attitudes towards homosexuality. The free summaries map some changing attitudes. Data is for over 25 years. Access some detailed data files via the British Social Attitudes Information System
