A new initiative to encourage citizen reporters to help shape news stories called Truthloader. See the mission statement video via YouTube.
It aims to highlight stories bringing investigative and citizen journalism together. There is also a reddit discussion board associated with it.
CNN iReport also seeks to highlight citizen journalism.
The Guardian has recently discussed this issue.
