Recently launched by the US National Archives this site provides access to records of unsolved racially-motivated crimes during the 20th century in the USA.
During the Civil Rights era, thousands of racially-motivated crimes went unsolved. In many cases, local, state and/or federal authorities examined evidence, conducted interviews, and compiled detailed investigations into these crimes and violations.
The case files from these investigations are considered civil rights cold case records and increasing information will be placed about them on this website which includes explanations and other supporting resources.
