Exhibitions at The Mixed Museum
A digital museum which records and explores history of ethnic and inter-racial mixing in the UK.
It has a timeline of the history of ‘mixing’ and also includes a growing number of on line exhibitions with photographs and texts.
One exhibition, curated by Professor Lucy Bland, is based on her book Britain’s ‘Brown Babies’, the stories of children born to black GIs and white women in the Second World War. Another exhibition looks at families of mixed Arab heritage and another has materials on the cultural history of Asian textiles in London.
