Censorship can and still does continue. Each year the American Library Association provides a list of books that have been targeted for removal from libraries. Historically LGBT+ themed books have dominated. Indeed in 2018, the second most banned book was the Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, a beautifully illustrated storybook about a gay rabbit.
