The Sutton Trust specialises in researching issues relating to higher education and social mobility. It recently published a poll on aspirations which reviewed why people apply or don’t apply to university. Other research considers access to university.
Also released this week: research from the University of Bath research on the ethnic diversity of universities which found that more BME students attended post-1992 universities, It concluded that some of the country’s top universities need to do more to encourage black and minority ethnic (BME) students to take up prestigious courses.
