Great economic evidence in favour of Gender equality was published in this recent report from the EIGE (European Institute for Gender Equality) which quoted the data that on average improved gender equality in EU nations would to lead to an increase in GDP of about 12% by 2050.
This is supported by the World Economic Forum Gender Gap report 2016 which presents the case for gender parity in economic terms.
However, this week a report by the Fawcett society found that despite progress in the UK many ethnic minority women are still left behind. They quote the shocking statistics that Pakistani & Bangladeshi women see biggest overall gender pay gap at 26%, Black African women experience largest full-time gender pay gap at 19.6%
