If you are attending music festivals over the summer take a look at the blog from this research project which is being funded under the AHRC’s Connected Communities Programme. It is being led by Professor George McKay at the University of East Anglia. It is considering the cultural impact of festivals on local communities, impact of regional economies, and historical impacts over time. The blog currently has a timeline of festival culture. It also provides free access to its research reports as well as a bibliography of useful readings and websites on all aspects of festival cultures.
