The Connected Histories project was a six year project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and led by a team from the University of Sussex. It includes
31 interviews from seven oral history collections
686 audio files (472 hrs 47 mins)
632 video files (171 hrs 42 mins)
468 documents
The majority of the files were recorded between 1972 and 2001.
Interviews are available in a mix of video and audio-only formats and are normally accompanied by transcripts. They cover the history of broadcasting at the BBC and the evolution of job descriptions and programme content.
