The Yoto Carnegies are prizes awarded to children’s books, one for writing and one for illustration. The main medals are awarded by a panel of children’s and youth’s librarians, but the Shadowers’ Award is judged by children. The judges and the shadowers do not always agree, but this year they did in one category.
