Richard Cobden (1804-1865) was a leading Victorian political stateman well known for his involvement in free trade debates and the anti-corn league. This site supported by the Arts and Humanities research council provides access to a wealth of several thousand transcripts of letters, speeches and other manuscripts relating to his life and political career.
