Digital Florentine Codex is a 16th-century manuscript that details, in both the Spanish and Nahuatl languages, the culture and history of the Mexica (Aztec) people, including the invasion of Mexico City by the Spaniards. It also covers local knowledge.
This new upgrade has extensive translations and can now be searched in English via themes such as gods and moral philosophy. The name of the codex is derived from the fact it is housed in the Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana in Florence, Italy.
