Human Rights Impact Assessment Framework, launched recently by Oxfam, is a new toolkit which aims to allow assessments of how good companies’ Human Rights Impact Assessments are.
The framework has criteria that ensure that the research captures all relevant adverse risks to human rights. Companies that fulfil all of the criteria qualify as robust. Otherwise, the framework helps to identify the main weaknesses and areas where they must improve.
