The Black British Women Writers website

This resource seeks to stimulate the discussion of the literary art of women writers of African and African-Caribbean descent living in Britain from 19th century onwards. It contains biographies and lists of writings by and about the authors’ work. 

Maintained by Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Bekers, Vrij Universiteit Brussel (VUB) the website has grown out of the first Expert Seminar on Black British Women’s Writing held at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2013.
