The Dag Hammarskjöld Library has recently digitised back runs of the Report on the World Social Situation (RWSS) published between 1952 to 1993.
The report has been issued by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) since 1952. Each issue includes discussion of social and economic progress with reference to statistical indicators and is therefore of great value to social and economic historians and those interested in the development of policy. It has been made available via the UN Digital Library where other full text series include: Yearbook on Human Rights (1946-1988), UN Statistical Yearbooks (1948-2017) and Report of the Commission on the Status of Women (1947-1992)
