The aim of this project is to explore the ways in which radical, feminist and at times illegal protest actions are archived. The project was initiated by Rachel Tavernor during a three month PhD placement at the British Library (funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council).
The website includes two strands. The first, is a curated collection of resources on archiving activism; how libraries and archives decide what to collect and store. The second strand hopes to develop a section on the range of activist archives held at the British library. These are currently being developed but include campaigns on housing and animal rights.
