The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the National Archives’ Office of the Federal Register (OFR) have now completed the digitization of every issue of the Federal Register from 1936 onwards. The Federal Register is the official journal of the US Federal Government. It contains Presidential Documents (executive orders and proclamations), Rules and Regulations (including policy statements and interpretations of rules by federal agencies), Proposed Rules (including petitions to agencies from the public) and Notices (such as scheduled hearings and meetings open to the public and grant applications)
