Propublica in association with Google News Lab and a data visualization studio called Pitch Interactive has launched a site about hate crimes and bias incidents in the USA. In addition to recording violence, harassment and vandalism, the project includes stories about hate crimes legislation and programmes designed to combat hate in local communities. This covers homophobia, racism and sexual violence. It is of course limited to Google News indexed outlets. It is possible to download raw data sets from the website. It is related to the earlier Documenting Hate project
