Interesting new study released by Comres for Universities UK entitled Education, consumer rights and maintaining trust, focuses on how students view their roles as consumers – what they expect the university to do and how trust and good relations can be maintained.
47% view themselves as a customer but that is fewer than believe they are a customer of a bank or building society.
Their top priority is a personal relationship with the university and a collaborative relationship with staff.
The study also considers how they evaluate value for money, the emphasis placed on elements such as teaching and facilities.
