For information on the UK – the ONS has just released the annual Young Peoples Well-being report which surveys young people aged from 16-24. It covers socioeconomic circumstances and personal satisfaction and perception. Topics include: mental health, personal finance, education, and social connections. It includes data on gender divisions. Shockingly in ‘2014 to 2015, around 1 in 4 young women (25%) reported symptoms of anxiety or depression compared with fewer than 1 in 6 young men (15%)’.
