MIC launches database of transgender murders
A key initiative has recently been unveiled in tracking this underreported crime. The database provides data and visualizations of this horrendous crime in the USA 2010-2016. This article from GLAAD explains its significance.
The Hate Index
A new resource from the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism‘s NYCity News Service which is using a team of journalists to track news reports of chronicle hate crimes and other acts of intolerance since the November 8, 2016 presidential election victory of Donald Trump and Mike Pence over Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine. It includes cybercrime, anti-semitic, homophobic and racial abuse. Over 200 have been recorded in just a few months. It is possible to search by type of crime, victim and location.
