Shocking new study by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) reveals that sexism, harassment and violence against women MPs is widespread worldwide. Over 81% of those surveyed said they had experienced psychological threats including abuse and threatening language in politics.

This follows on from a recent Universities UK taskforce report released last week which considered harassment, violence and hate crime in universities and developed guidelines for develop a more inclusive culture and handling sexual and hate crimes amongst university students.
