Shelter in conjunction with user research from IPSO Mori has launched a new Living Home Standard based on 42 criteria which members of the public feel should be used to assess housing standards. Shockingly according to this 42% of homes do not currently meet it. Categories include space, affordability, neighbourhood, stability of tenure and conditions. Another well established UK government report covering housing conditions in the UK is English Housing Survey which focuses upon condition.
