A great project led by scholars at Leeds Beckett University with the support of English Heritage which is working to produce an interactive map relating to places in England which have been important to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people. These include landscapes and buildings as well as ‘secret histories’.
As well as pinpointing key locations, the maps also link to user generated content, images and archival documents. See this example of Red Lion Street London.
