Launched by Jigsaw in April 2016, this site seeks to expose those news stories which are being under-reported by the media in different areas of the world using Google Newsdata.
According to the site ‘We determine which news is “less reported” in a location by comparing the number of times a topic is mentioned worldwide against the number of times it is mentioned in that location.” Users can look for underreported topics in their region, jump to areas of the world where the topic is more widely reported and read typical headlines. There are some timelines to compare historical coverage.
