European Commission has recently revamped the Eurobarometer website. If you have not visited it before Eurobarometer is a great place for tracing free high quality cross-national comparative surveys of citizens from European nations. The first survey was held in 1974 and focused upon inflation.
It is possible to download all the surveys and their accompanying methodologies free from the website.
Topics covered include attitudes towards Europe, the Euro, public awareness of science, and a variety of consumer, economic, political and social trends. The new Interactive barometer section of the website enables users to quickly search for surveys on specific topics or conducted in specific regions by keyword.
