In many countries acceptance of same-sex marriage remains low– ILGA recently released the results of a survey of over 50,000 people. Shockingly it found that 76% o in Ghana, 73% in Russia opposed gay marriage. In general where it was illegal acceptance was lower.
Out Now Global LGBT2020 study into the life experiences of people in LGBT communities globally, provides insight into discrimination. In the UK, only 52% of respondents said that they felt able to be ‘out to everyone’ at work.
