The first UK census of women killed by men (2009-2013) was released by Women’s Aid last week. Compiled by Karen Ingala Smith using public newspaper accounts and Freedom of Information requests. It will provide data and case studies offering insight into the nature and extent of domestic violence and female abuse. For more details see the author’s blog Counting Dead Women.
