PRX have launched Radiotopia: http://www.radiotopia.fm/ a new podcast network with support from the Knight Foundation.
It aims to be a quality network of digital radio podcasts and shows covering a range of topics.
The aim is to encourage broader networks of programming than that offered by traditional radio stations. At the launch key programmes included: 99% Invisible which explores design and architecture. Also available are radio diaries of famous and not so famous people.

Another favourite podcast service is Backdoor Broadcasting http://backdoorbroadcasting.net/ which has podcasts of many UK academic conferences from the social sciences and humanities. Recent examples include Ernesto Laclau – Masterclass – The Discursive Construction of Social Antagonisms and E. P. Thompson’s The Making of the English Working Class: Its first half-century of ‘history from below’.
