The Children’s Commissioner’s analysis of disabled children’s experiences of living in low income families.
This study consisted of interviews with 79 young disabled people and 17 parents; it is based on eight rights themes. A steering group of young disabled children selected the themes by looking at three human rights treaties.
The report indicates that low income families with disabled children often struggle economically and do not always have the best access to services and provisions.
