The SESRIC BASEIND (Basic Social and Economic Indicators) Database
This website is maintained by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), an organ of the organization of the Islamic conference. It provides free access to 266 socio-economic data variables for 57 OIC member countries, dating back to 1970. They include Islamic counties in the Middle East and Africa. Generate your own charts and data. The site also has a useful directory of links to national data sources, including statistical offices and national banks. Topics covered include: economics, gender parity and population.
