Blackboard has a useful function – Edit Mode – which allows you to get an idea of what your Blackboard course looks like to students. You can find the Edit Mode button in the top right of any page on your course:
However, Edit Mode doesn’t allow you to fully experience your Blackboard course as a student. To do that, use the Student Preview mode.
Next to the Edit Mode button is the ‘eye’ symbol for full Student Preview mode. Using this feature gives you a more accurate picture of what your course looks like to a student, by creating a student account for you. This allows you review your course content and test out course features.
You can:
complete quizzes
Upload assignments
Write blog posts
Create journal entries
You can choose to keep any data entered, or delete it when you close the Student Preview mode.
