An arts organisation and small publisher with strong links to the School of English and Centre for New Writing is to celebrate its tenth anniversary by publishing an anthology of poetry and short fiction, and running a recording project.
Crystal Clear Creators, a well-known not-for-profit arts organisation and company limited by guarantee, which is co-directed by Jonathan Taylor, Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Leicester, has obtained a grant from National Lottery funder Awards for All to celebrate its tenth birthday in 2014-15. The project will include recording, producing and broadcasting new spoken word material for radio, in conjunction with stations such as Takeover Radio in Leicester; the production of a spoken word CD, featuring recordings from local, regional, national and student writers; and the editing, publication and public launch of a new anthology of poetry and short fiction, including both work previously published by Crystal Clear Creators, and new writing by local, regional, national and student writers from the University of Leicester. More details about the project will be forthcoming in the next few months, so watch this space!
