Abstract:
The 2020 Space Census was the first national survey of the UK space workforce demographic. It provides much needed data on the diversity and inclusivity of the sector, from which areas of concern can be identified, interventions planned and their effectiveness ascertained. The University of Leicester, being internationally renowned in many Space research areas, provided funding for the Census. In this seminar we will hear from the conductors of the survey and authors of the report and have the opportunity to discuss what those results mean for The School of Physics and Astronomy.
