UKSA Space for All Grant

The UK Space Agency have awarded a ‘Space for All’ grant, to Suzie Imber and Elliot Newstead for a project entitled ‘Open Space’.

This £10,000 grant will be used to support primary space education in 40 local schools, through providing classroom activities, and take-home experiments for the children. The goal is to improve teacher confidence in practical science, and the topic of space more broadly, and engage parents and carers with primary-level science activities.

Four sets of activities will be developed, each linking space with an aspect of the science national curriculum for Key Stage 2, and kits will be delivered to schools in time for British Science Week 2022.
