International Open Access Week is an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research. This year’s theme, Community Over Commercialisation, encourages a candid conversation about which approaches to open scholarship prioritize the best interests of the public and the academic community—and which do not.
To celebrate Open Access Week, the Library’s Research Services Team are running a program of events across the week for researchers to learn more about Open Access – what it is, how to do it, and what’s in it for you. Some events are open to all and some are for University of Leicester staff and students: this is indicated in the listing.
