Entries Open for the Three-Minute Thesis Competition

The University of Leicester is back hosting its own 3 Minute Thesis annual competition and this year it is open to Early Career Researchers and PostDocs.  


3 Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. Entries will be judged on their ability to communicate research in a non-technical way, their ability to communicate something of the presenter’s own excitement for their research area, their ability to engage the audience, and their ability to use the three minutes as effectively as possible.

The competition will run from Wednesday 31 March 2021 from 2pm – 5pm UK Time latest. This event is currently scheduled to run online due to Covid-19. 

Early Career Researchers and PostDocs are invited to take part however will not be eligible to go on to competition in the Regional and National Finals.

Following your entry, if it is accepted, we will ask you to provide your one slide to present with by the 29 March 2021 to present on the 31 March 2021.
