10th Annual CMBSP Postgraduate Careers Symposium

Bookings have opened for the 10th annual Postgraduate Careers Symposium for the College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology.  Places are filling up quickly, with almost 50 people having booked their place since bookings opened on Tuesday last.  With a total of 90 spaces available, the advice has to be “book early”.

This year’s programme includes speakers from Pfizer, the NHS and the BBSRC.  There will also be a presentation from Emma Pollard of the Institute of Employment, with some key information on potential career directions for PhD graduates and Early Career researchers, with Bioscience and Biomedical backgrounds.

Biotechnology YES 2014

The University of Leicester Biotechnology YES team, 2015, won their heat in Nottingham on Friday November 7.  They beat off competition from 9 other teams to take their place in the final, to be held in London on Monday December 8.

Engineering YES 2015

Recruitment has just started for the next edition of Engineering YES, which takes place in early 2016.  Following from the success of last year’s University of Leicester entry we already have significant interest so if you are interested in taking part you can let me know on MGC5@le.ac.uk.
