Museum and Society have published a new issue on University of Leicester Open Journals. It is a special issue about museums in Ukraine, and will be of interest to anyone involved in partnership work with Ukrainian heritage organisations and universities.
Articles include:
- The evacuation of Donbas museums
- Saving Ukrainian cultural heritage online
- Exhibitions during the war.
and more. Read them all here.
There is also a tribute to Jim Roberts, who was the production manager of Museum and Society from its beginnings in 2003 until last year. Jim was a key figure in developing Museum and Society as an open access journal and making it the success it is today. Jim had worked in the School of Museum Studies since 1973 and ran its internationally famous Museums Jobs Desk. He was also very active locally as a councillor and supports of the arts. He will be much missed.
