Staff away day
The latest staff away day took place at Stamford court, with university and departmental updates, a group activity over coffee to reflect on how the department could improve various aspects of the working environment via the working lives committee, bite-sized research presentations and lunch. In the afternoon, departmental staff got competitive at the sports hall. […]

Brand new rooms at RKCSB
Recently, much needed works were carried out at RKCSB level 2 and we now have a refurbished meeting room with a small kitchen area. The old lab on 237, that was covered in dust and full of all sorts of unwanted and broken equipment, is now a spacious open plan office area.

Takeaway Tuesdays are back!
To improve our working lives and promote informal and relaxed interaction between all staff and students, we have introduced Takeaway Tuesdays at RKCSB. It concerns not only women in academic roles, but also progression of students […]

At Leicester we’re going places. However, our busy agendas don’t always allow us to keep up with what other departments (or even our own) are doing or to take the time to go over there and discuss possible collaborations. This blog intends to showcase research at Leicester, bring researchers together and promote discussion. Furthermore, […]
