It displays previously unseen correspondence between the US and the Soviet Union, and secret White House recordings of President John F Kennedy and his advisers. The exhibition will run at the National Archives building until February there is also a website <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/to-brink-jfk-cuban-missile\/id570032141?mt=8\">and app for researchers.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cubanmissilecrisis.org\/\">Harvard Kennedy School&#8217;s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs<\/a> has created\u00a0a website to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962 too.\u00a0 It has source material, analysis, history lesson plans for students including video materials.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foreignpolicy.com\/cubanmissilecrisis\">Foreign policy magazine<\/a> has created a site where Michael Dobbs, author of the best-selling One Minute to Midnight, is blogging and tweeting about the crisis.There is also analysis and articles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/world.time.com\/2012\/10\/16\/remembering-the-cuban-missile-crisis-fifty-years-from-the-brink-of-armageddon\/\">Time magazine photo story <\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.lse.ac.uk\/newsAndMedia\/videoAndAudio\/channels\/publicLecturesAndEvents\/player.aspx?id=1603\">LSE Podcast regional persepctives 50 years on<\/a> &#8211; hear academic discussion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gwu.edu\/~nsarchiv\/nsa\/cuba_mis_cri\/\">George Washington University site<\/a>\u00a0national Security Archive \u00a0to commemorate the\u00a0 anniversary has free access to documents, audioclips and declassified materials.<br \/>\nFinally the <a href=\"http:\/\/microsites.jfklibrary.org\/cmc\/\">John\u00a0F Kennedy presidential library section<\/a> also has an interactive display world on the brink\u00a0with day by day coverage and images of real documents: <a href=\"http:\/\/microsites.jfklibrary.org\/cmc\/\">http:\/\/microsites.jfklibrary.org\/cmc\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To the Brink: JFK and the Cuban Missile Crisis http:\/\/www.archives.gov\/nae\/visit\/gallery.html \u201cTo the Brink\u201d is a new exhibit at the National Archives that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
