Its primary focus is examining security in the post-communist post 1989 world. Concentrating on the \u2018security gap\u2019 which refers to the gap between national and international security capabilities, largely based on conventional military forces, and the reality of the everyday experience of insecurity in different parts of the world.<br \/>\nThe key 5 themes are \u2018Culture\/s\u2019, \u2018Geographies\u2019, \u2018Indicators\u2019, \u2018Rules\u2019 and \u2018Tools\u2019. Available from the website are podcasts and publications. Topics covered include a range of topical issues.
