The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psr.org.uk\/psr-focus\/the-UK-ATM-network\">Payments Systems regulator<\/a> sets out standards for monitoring inclusion.<br \/>\nBetween January and the start of July 2018, Link recorded that the the number of free-to-use ATMs reduced from 54,500 to 53,200.<br \/>\nThere is a breakdown of numbers by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.link.co.uk\/media\/1408\/parliamentary-constituency-breakdown.pdf\">parliamentary constituency.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Does this cause harm to consumers?\u00a0 See the report from the <a href=\"https:\/\/financialhealthexchange.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/How-far-is-too-far.pdf\">Financial Health Exchange<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.financialinclusioncommission.org.uk\/facts\">The Financial Inclusion commission<\/a> found in 2017 that 1.5 million adults remain unbanked in Britain today.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fca.org.uk\/publications\/research\/understanding-financial-lives-uk-adults\">The Financial Conduct Authority\u2019s\u00a0financial lives survey for 2017<\/a> shows that across the UK in general,\u00a012 per cent have no savings or investments, while one in eight adults have no cash savings whatsoever and one in three only have savings of between \u00a31 and \u00a31,999.<\/p>\n<p>The World Bank <a href=\"https:\/\/globalfindex.worldbank.org\/\">Global Findex<\/a> data has reports on unbanked adults and access to finance in countries worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free ATMs are disappearing.
