Its website has information on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/news\/national-learning-analytics-service-seeks-to-boost-student-attainment-20-sep-2018\">its aims in decreasing student drop out.<\/a>\u00a0 It also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/guides\/code-of-practice-for-learning-analytics\">includes a code of practice <\/a>for ethical use of the data .<br \/>\nJisc have also developed for students a free app from <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/app\/study-goal\/id1187626482\">iTunes called study goals<\/a> which aims to help students plan their time and studies effectively.<\/p>\n<p>Related to this, Jisc has recently launched the <a href=\"http:\/\/repository.jisc.ac.uk\/6967\/1\/Digital_experience_insights_survey_2018.pdf\">2018 Digital Student experience report.<\/a>\u00a0 Findings were collected between October 2017 and April 2018 from 37,720 Further and Higher Education students studying at\u00a083 different organisations across the nations of the UK.<br \/>\nThe report provides a unique picture of how students are using\u00a0technology in colleges and universities across the UK.<br \/>\nOnly 41 % agreed that their course prepared them for the digital workplace.\u00a0 The full report covers the digital lives of students and the way tools are used in class.\u00a0 There are recommendations for future action.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new national learning analytics service has been launched by Jisc.\u00a0 It is the world\u2019s first national student learning analytics service.
